Networking and peer connections for immigrants and newcomers to Whistler...
Whistler Multicultural Network is a group of local immigrants and newcomers that meets, networks, and plays together. It was created by local immigrants to provide others in the same situation with the connections, support, and knowledge to help them adapt to life in Canada and Whistler and opportunities to get more involved locally.
Whether you’re new in town, or a long-term local, meet, support and learn from other immigrants and newcomers.
Join our online network or contact Yami to get connected.

Join Our Multicultural Kitchen to celebrate Chinese New Year : Vegan Dumplings
Dumplings (called jiao zi in Chinese) are a staple in Chinese culture, often symbolizing wealth and prosperity. Their shape is reminiscent of traditional Chinese ingots, which were used as money in ancient times. As a result, eating dumplings during the New Year is believed to bring good fortune and financial success. In some traditions, a coin is hidden inside one of the dumplings, and the person who finds it is said to be especially lucky and prosperous in the new year.
Join our cultural ambassador chef, Sara who will be sharing how to make this dish, culture and experiences! Whether you’re familiar with Chinese cuisine or want to learn something new, everyone is welcome! We’ll cook, chat, and enjoy a wonderful meal as we explore Chinese culture.
Bring your curiosity, and let's cook together!

Volunteering is a great way to get connected to the people and places where you live and can really help you get established in your new country and community. Volunteering can provide an opportunity to help others, it can help you build new skills and knowledge, and it can also help you find a job in Canada.
